Does everyone have cancer cells in their body?

My neighbour told me that everyone has cancer cells in their body, which sounds really scary. Is this actually true, or was she mistaken?

That is a total myth propagated by random internet articles. Everyone has damaged or abnormal cells that the immune system constantly eliminates, but that is not the same as having actual cancer. Stop overthinking and focus on your daily fitness.

As someone who has actively dealt with health issues in my family, I can assure you this is a common misunderstanding. Abnormal cells occur naturally but your body cleans them up. Focus on lifestyle, sleep well, and get annual checkups to stay safe.

Instead of worrying about scientific terms like cancer cells, we should focus on simple things we can control. Eating fresh home-cooked food, avoiding processed items, and getting active is the best practical thing we can do for our bodies.

I read this somewhere online and it gave me a minor panic attack. Does anyone else get super anxious reading biology articles on the internet? I keep wondering if our bodies are really that fragile.

I spent a whole night researching this exact thing last year and ended up terrified. When I finally asked my doctor, they laughed and said it is just normal cellular turnover. It is completely normal, so please don't stress yourself out.

Bro, chill out. Our bodies produce millions of cells daily and some are bound to be faulty, but your immune system destroys them instantly. It is not some ticking time bomb, so don't believe everything you see on the web.

I am just starting to learn about human health and this question popped up in my head. If it is just a myth, why do so many online articles say we all have them? It is really confusing for someone trying to learn.

This is a classic piece of internet misinformation used to sell miracle diets and juices. Don't fall for these claims or try strange detox regimens. If you have genuine medical concerns, verify them with a qualified physician.

If everyone had cancer cells just waiting around, I would be very worried about my love for street food! Honestly, keep a check on your outside food habits, but don't let these intense biology theories stop you from enjoying a good meal.
