Does eczema make your hair fall out?

I have eczema on my scalp, and I've noticed a lot more hair fall than usual recently. I'm really concerned about this. Does eczema make your hair fall out, especially when it's on the scalp?

I totally get it, seeing your hair fall out when you already have scalp eczema is so stressful. Actually, the eczema itself doesn't directly kill your hair, but all that intense itching and scratching definitely damages the roots. Try to be very gentle when washing your hair and don't rub it hard.

Hey, I went through this exact same thing last year. My scalp was so dry and flaky, and my hairbrush was just covered in hair. I stopped using chemical shampoos and switched to a mild, doctor-prescribed coal tar one. It really helped calm down the flare-up and my hair started growing back normally.

Don't lose hope! Eczema flare-ups can be super annoying but your hair roots are still alive. Once you get the itching under control, the shedding stops. Sending you good vibes, just keep your scalp cool and clean!

Listen, don't panic. This hair fall is mostly temporary because of the skin inflammation on your scalp, it won't lead to permanent baldness. Just focus on treating the eczema first with your doc's help, and the hair issues will settle down on their own. Avoid any hot styling tools or oils for a few weeks.

My 12-year-old son had bad eczema patches behind his ears and on his scalp, and he was losing clumps of hair from scratching in his sleep. We started applying a light, doctor-approved moisturizer and cut his nails very short so he couldn't scratch. His hair grew back beautifully within three months.

With a busy office schedule, dealing with scalp eczema and hair loss is a nightmare. Honestly, trying random DIY masks just wastes time and can make the allergy worse. It is much better to take one morning off, go to a good dermatologist, and get the proper medicated lotion to clear it up quickly.

I tried everything from neem paste to onion juice, but honestly, home remedies sometimes make scalp eczema worse because of the acidity. What actually helped me was washing my hair with lukewarm water and using a doctor-suggested shampoo. Be gentle with your scalp, and don't tie your hair too tightly.

Haan, skin weak ho jaati hai toh hair fall toh thoda hota hi hai na. Itching se root damage ho jata hai physically. Bilkul darna mat, deep conditioning products abhi bandh kar do aur clean skin doctor ki medicine se theek karo pehle.

I have managed scalp eczema for five years now, and yes, hair fall happens during intense flare-ups. The secret is to stop scratching completely, which is hard but essential. Use your prescribed topical steroids or creams exactly as the doc says, and you will see the shedding stop within a couple of weeks.

Please be very careful with this. I ignored my itchy scalp eczema, thinking it was just dandruff, and ended up getting a severe bacterial infection that caused permanent patchiness. If you see oozing, yellow crusts, or sudden hair thinning, get to a skin specialist immediately before it worsens.
