We don't need expensive diet charts to lose weight. The simple habit of putting your spoon down between bites and chewing properly works wonders. It naturally stops you from taking second helpings of rice, saving you calories.

My teenage son used to gulp down his food while gaming and was rapidly gaining weight. I made a rule that we all eat together at the dining table without screens. Chewing slowly has really helped him manage his appetite and weight better.

Slow eating is a great tool for portion control. Combine this with a 20-minute slow walk post-dinner if your doctor allows, and you will notice a huge improvement in both your digestion and weight. Movement is just as important as how we eat.

Honestly, if I eat any slower, my baby will wake up and steal my food, haha! But yes, when I manage to eat peacefully, I notice I feel full much faster. It definitely works if you have the patience for it.

Eating is a form of meditation. When we chew our food mindfully and slowly, we absorb the prana or life force from the food better, which keeps the body satisfied and balanced. It naturally prevents excess weight gain.
