Does drinking seltzer water cause kidney stones?

I stopped drinking sodas and switched to seltzer water, thinking it's a healthier option for hydration. However, a friend recently mentioned that carbonated water, like seltzer, could cause kidney stones. Is this something I need to be concerned about?

Honestly, I drink seltzer water almost every day instead of sweet sodas and my kidneys are perfectly fine. Just make sure you are drinking normal flat water too, don't rely only on carbonated drinks.

Stay positive and listen to your body, dear. Natural water from mother earth is always the purest source of health, but a little sparkling water occasionally won't harm you if your mind is peaceful and stress-free.

I had a 5mm kidney stone last year and researched this thoroughly. Seltzer water is totally fine as long as it doesn't have high sodium or artificial additives. The main thing is keeping your overall urine volume high by drinking regular water.

Don't trust random lifestyle blogs saying seltzer is bad for your kidneys. There's no solid proof of that, but to be 100% sure, just ask your urologist during your next general health checkup.

Haan bhai, seltzer water toh bas carbonated water hi hai na, isse stones nahi hote. Lekin haan, sugar-loaded packing waali cold drinks se door raho, woh sach mein kidney kharab karti hain.

Look, plain seltzer is just water with bubbles. It does not cause stones. Stop overthinking every small thing and just drink enough normal water throughout the day to keep your system clean.

My family physician explained that kidney stones are mostly formed by calcium oxalate or uric acid buildup. Since seltzer water is acidic due to carbon dioxide, some think it causes stones, but clinical studies show it has no significant impact. Just avoid seltzers with added sodium.

I have been drinking club soda and seltzer water for years because I don't like the flat taste of normal water, and I've never faced any kidney issues. That's just my personal experience though.

Bro, I drink seltzer at 2 AM just to feel some fizz while finishing my office slides. If that starts giving me kidney stones, my life is officially over. Let's just pray it's safe!

I actually just started drinking seltzer to cut down on my daily Pepsi, so this question got me a bit worried. Does the carbonation in seltzer water affect calcium absorption in our bones or kidneys? If anyone knows, please share.
