Does dihydrotestosterone cause hair loss?

I've noticed my hair thinning quite a bit lately, especially on my crown. I've read about something called DHT and its role in hair loss. Does dihydrotestosterone cause hair loss, and what can be done about it?

Yes, DHT is a major reason for male pattern baldness, but please don't start any self-medication like blockers on your own. I tried some random supplements from the internet and had bad hormonal side effects. Go see a qualified dermatologist first.

My doctor told me my hair fall was due to DHT sensitivity. For me, taking doctor-prescribed scalp solutions and improving my sleep cycle really helped to control the damage. I stopped searching online and just stuck to the professional advice.

While DHT is a hormonal factor, excessive stress can make this hair shedding much worse. I have seen that practicing regular Kapalbhati and Balayam helps improve blood circulation to the hair roots. Along with your medical treatment, give your body some natural support.

Yes, DHT actually shrinks your hair follicles, making hair thin and fall out over time. It is a very common genetic issue. I always advise people at my clinic to get a proper scalp exam rather than spending thousands on random anti-hairfall shampoos.

My 22-year-old son started losing hair rapidly due to DHT issues. We got very worried and tried home remedies, but they didn't help much. Finally, a skin specialist gave him a proper scalp lotion which is working well now. Please don't waste time, get it checked early.

I totally understand how stressful hair loss is; I tried amla, neem, rosemary oil, and what not for my thinning hair. While some natural oils did make my existing hair soft, they couldn't stop the internal hormonal DHT action. A proper medical consult is what actually helped.

Before you buy any expensive serum or oils claiming to block DHT, get a basic hormone panel and vitamin D3/B12 test done. These tests will cost you around 1500 to 2000 rupees but will save you from wasting thousands on useless commercial hair products.

I ignored my initial temple hair thinning thinking it was just work stress, and now my crown is almost empty. By the time I went to the doctor, the DHT had damaged most follicles permanently. Please get your scalp checked immediately if you see any thinning.

DHT sensitivity is real, but keeping your scalp clean and healthy is also very important. We always used mild bhringraj oil or fresh onion juice on the scalp in a very gentle way. But if the hair thinning is too fast, you must consult a hair specialist doctor.

Bro, if it is DHT hair loss, normal oils won't do anything. It is purely genetic and hormonal. I spent months wasting money on fancy organic shampoo before my doctor put me on proper blocker serum. Go to a good dermatologist before your hairline goes back too far.
