Does dermatology treat hair loss?

I've been experiencing a lot of hair fall recently, especially after washing. I'm not sure which doctor to consult. Does a dermatologist treat hair loss issues?

Absolutely, dermatologists are the actual experts for this. I wasted a lot of money on expensive salon packs and herbal oils before finally visiting a skin and hair doctor. They did some scalp tests and prescribed exactly what my body needed.

I know how terrifying it is to see chunks of hair in the shower, it literally kept me awake at night. Yes, dermatology is the right field because they study scalp health. Please take a deep breath, book an appointment, and let them help you.

Dermatologists handle everything related to skin, hair, and nails. Hair loss is often linked to scalp infections, hormones, or deficiencies which they can easily diagnose. Skip the cosmetic products and consult a good clinical dermatologist.

Of course they do! Otherwise half the dermatologists in India would be out of business given our stressful lives. Go see a doctor instead of praying to your shampoo bottle every morning, they actually have science on their side.

Yes, they do. I tried random self-treatment for hair fall and ended up with a severe scalp reaction that took months to heal. Please do not apply strong over-the-counter chemicals without a dermatologist checking your scalp condition first.

Yes, hair loss is a medical issue that comes under dermatology. Since there are many different types of alopecia, it is always safest to get a proper diagnosis from a qualified doctor rather than trying random remedies.
