Does dandruff shampoo help hair growth?

My dandruff is finally getting under control with a good shampoo, which is a relief. Now I'm curious if this type of shampoo might also be good for general hair growth. Does dandruff shampoo actively promote hair growth, or is it solely for scalp health?

I was thinking of buying an expensive anti-dandruff shampoo because I want longer hair, but I don't actually have dandruff. Will it still help my hair grow faster, or is it only meant for people with itchy scalps? Please advise me gently, I'm new to this.

I have tried everything from methi seeds to onion juice, and I can tell you that dandruff shampoo won't magically grow your hair. It only helps by clearing out the sticky flakes that choke your hair roots. For actual growth, simple scalp cleanliness and a good diet are much more practical.

A chemical shampoo can only clean your scalp, it cannot feed your hair roots. If you want real hair growth, make sure you are eating iron-rich foods like spinach, beetroot, and pomegranate daily. External products are just temporary fixes, nutrition is the real key.

I read so many articles online saying dandruff blocking the pores stops hair growth, which made me so anxious that I started using ketoconazole shampoo every day. Honestly, it didn't grow my hair at all and just made my scalp super dry. Don't overthink it like I did; it's just for flakes.

I cannot give any scientific opinion, but in my personal experience, my hair growth stayed exactly the same when I was using anti-dandruff shampoo. The only thing it did was reduce my scalp itching. I think actual growth depends on genetics and overall health rather than shampoo.

Let's be realistic, nobody has the time to wait for miracle shampoos. Dandruff shampoo is just a medicine to treat scalp flaking, not a growth booster. If you want hair growth, focus on reducing your stress levels and getting proper 7-hour sleep daily instead of switching shampoos.
