Does'd mannose cause hair loss?

I started taking D-mannose supplements a few months ago for recurring UTIs, and lately, I've noticed my hair thinning quite a bit. I'm wondering if there's any connection between the two. Could D-mannose be causing my hair loss?

I have been taking D-Mannose for recurrent UTIs which are common with PCOS, and I haven't noticed any hair loss from it. Since our bodies are already sensitive to hormonal changes, hair fall is more likely due to insulin resistance or stress. But it is always best to double-check with your doctor.

D-Mannose is just a natural sugar supplement for bladder health and doesn't usually cause hair loss. As someone managing blood pressure, I always suggest getting regular health checkups. Sometimes nutritional deficiencies or stress are the actual culprits behind hair fall.

Instead of worrying about D-Mannose causing hair loss, it’s better to spend around 800 rupees on a basic iron, zinc, and vitamin D test. These tests will give you the exact reason for hair fall, saving you from stopping a supplement that is helping your UTI.

I didn't have hair loss, but D-Mannose caused some stomach upset when I took too much of it. Any supplement can react differently if your body is sensitive. Please consult your physician before taking it regularly to avoid any unwanted side effects.

No, D-Mannose does not cause hair loss. It is generally very safe and excreted through urine quickly.

D-Mannose is basically a simple sugar related to glucose that helps flush out E. coli bacteria from the urinary tract. It does not affect hair follicles at all. If you are losing hair, you might want to look into your thyroid levels or stress levels instead.

I was reading up on this because my mother started taking D-Mannose recently. From what I found, there is absolutely no scientific connection between this supplement and hair loss. It seems to be a myth.
