Does cymbalta cause liver damage?

My doctor recommended Cymbalta for my condition, but I'm quite worried about potential serious side effects. I read somewhere online about liver issues with this medication. Does Cymbalta actually cause liver damage, and how common is it?

I have been taking this medication for my chronic neuropathy for over three years now. My doctor makes me do an LFT blood test every six months to monitor my liver, and thank god, the reports have always been completely normal. Just keep doing your routine checkups.

Unless you are washing down your pills with a bottle of vodka every night, your liver should be absolutely fine! Just follow your doctor's orders and keep off the heavy drinking while you are on it.

My mother was very worried about the liver side effects when I started this medicine. But my doctor explained that as long as we do regular liver function tests and don't self-medicate, it is highly safe. Trust your physician and keep them updated on how you feel.

I make sure to eat very clean, home-cooked food and avoid extra oily parathas to keep my liver happy while taking these heavy meds. Giving your liver less work with diet helps it cope better with any long-term prescription.

It is always good to drink warm water with lemon or amla juice in the morning to keep the body detoxified naturally. However, if you notice any yellowing of eyes, dark urine, or severe stomach pain, please do not ignore it and see a doctor immediately.
