Does cymbalta cause hair loss?

I've been on Cymbalta for a few months now for my anxiety, and lately, I've noticed a lot more hair falling out. My comb is full of hair every morning. Is this a common side effect of this medicine, or should I be worried about something else?

I faced this exact issue last year when I started Cymbalta. My hair started thinning out in clumps, but my doctor told me it's a rare side effect called telogen effluvium. It stopped after a few months once my body adjusted to the medicine, and my hair is finally growing back now.

Haan na, even my cousin was complaining about extra hair fall after starting this medicine. It makes you worry so much, which actually increases the hair fall even more! Better to discuss with the doctor once instead of stressing.

Look, hair loss is listed as a rare side effect for Cymbalta. However, stress itself causes massive hair fall, so it's hard to pin it entirely on the pill. Get your thyroid and iron levels checked first before blaming the medication.

I don't have time for complex hair routines, but when I noticed some shedding on this medication, I just switched to a mild shampoo and started taking biotin. It’s manageable. Don't stop the medicine abruptly without consulting your psychiatrist, as withdrawal is much worse.

I completely understand how terrifying it is to see hair on your pillow every morning, especially when you are already dealing with anxiety. I cried so much when it happened to me. But please know that it is usually temporary and your hair will recover.

Haan, thoda hair fall toh report kiya hai logo ne, but sabko nahi hota na. Mera ek friend le raha hai isse and his hair is perfectly fine. Har kisi ka body diffrently react karta hai.

Honestly, between dealing with my constant mood swings and losing a few strands of hair, I chose peace of mind! It's a trade-off sometimes. Just get a cool haircut and don't stress over every single strand.

Actually yaar, I had some hair fall in the second month of taking it. I panicked and called my doc, but he said it's just temporary shedding. It stopped automatically after some time, so don't worry too much.

I totally get it, hair thinning can really affect your self-esteem and make you want to stop the treatment. But please speak to your specialist before making any changes. They might adjust the dose or add a supplement to help you out.

According to my doctor, less than 1% of patients experience significant hair loss on duloxetine. He explained that it usually happens due to the systemic shock of starting a new psychiatric drug. He recommended keeping track of daily shedding and checking Vitamin D3 levels.
