Does creatine help with weight gain?

I'm a hardgainer and have always found it difficult to put on muscle mass and weight. My gym buddy strongly recommended creatine, saying it's great for bulking. Does creatine help with weight gain in terms of muscle mass?

Yes, it absolutely does. According to my smart scale and fitness tracker, I gained about 1.8 kgs in the first two weeks of starting creatine. It is mostly intramuscular water retention, which makes your muscles look bigger and fuller, not fat.

While creatine can help you gain weight by holding water in your muscles, you must be careful. I rushed into taking high doses without a doctor's advice and ended up with severe stomach cramps and dehydration. Please consult a physician before starting any new supplement.

Creatine is actually a very cost-effective way to get that fuller muscle look and gain some weight. It's much cheaper than those expensive mass gainers which are just full of sugar. Just buy a simple, budget-friendly monohydrate and stay hydrated.

Back in my active days, we used creatine to gain bulk and strength. It definitely helps you put on some weight quickly because it draws water into the muscles. Don't worry about it being bad weight; it helps you lift better, which builds real muscle over time.

I tried all kinds of heavy diets and traditional high-calorie foods to help my son gain weight, but nothing worked fast. When he started working out and took creatine, his muscles finally filled out nicely. Just make sure to drink plenty of water so it works properly.

I have been reading up a lot on this because I am trying to gain weight. From what I've researched, creatine helps you gain water weight initially and then helps build muscle mass if you lift weights. It seems like a solid option if you combine it with a high-calorie diet.
