Does cold water cause hair fall?

My hair has started falling out quite a bit recently, and my grandmother told me it's because I wash my hair with cold water. Is it true, does cold water cause hair fall?

I don't think washing your hair with cold water causes hair fall, but starving yourself of good food definitely does! I noticed my hair quality improved when I stopped dieting strictly and started eating healthy, protein-rich meals. Enjoy your warm showers and eat some good food, your hair will be fine!

I can only speak from my own experience, but switching to cold water actually helped reduce my hair shedding. Extremely hot water used to dry out my scalp and make my roots weak. But everyone's scalp is different, so see what works for you.

Do not let the fear of hair fall disturb your inner peace, as stress is often the biggest reason our hair suffers. Washing your hair with cool, natural water can actually feel very refreshing and calming for the mind. Take care of your body gently and stay positive.

Actually yaar, cold water is totally fine for hair, in fact, it's better than hot water. Hot water makes the scalp super dry and causes dandruff, which actually leads to hair fall. So don't worry, cool water is completely safe.

Actually, cold water is supposed to be good because it seals the hair cuticles and keeps the moisture in! Hot water is what usually damages the roots and causes breakage. Try using lukewarm water to wash and cool water for the final rinse, it works wonders for me!
