Does clonazepam cause weight gain?

My doctor prescribed Clonazepam for my anxiety, and I'm about to start taking it. I'm a bit concerned about potential side effects like weight gain. Does Clonazepam typically cause people to put on weight?

Honestly, I have been feeling so anxious about this lately. My doctor started me on clonazepam last month and I feel like my sweet cravings have gone up. Has anyone else actually gained weight on this, or is it just my mind playing tricks?

Haan yaar, thoda farak toh padta hai body pe. It slows down your body reaction a bit, so you might feel lazy to move around. Active raho aur diet control rakho, phir weight nahi badhega na.

Listen, don't stress too much about the weight thing right now. Your mental peace is way more important, and stress itself can cause weight gain anyway. Just take it as prescribed and have a simple chat with your doc if you see any changes.

Bro, I was on it during my exams last semester. I didn't gain weight directly from the pill, but it made me so lazy and sleepy that I just kept ordering junk food. If you control your midnight munchies, you should be fine.

Since I already deal with PCOS, I am always super careful about any medication affecting my weight. With clonazepam, I noticed some water retention and general sluggishness, but not major fat gain. It is best to discuss your metabolic history with your doctor to be safe.
