Does clobetasol propionate cause hair loss?

My dermatologist prescribed Clobetasol Propionate for a scalp condition I have. I've been using it for a few weeks, and I'm starting to notice more hair fall. Is hair loss a known side effect of this cream, especially when applied to the scalp?

Dealing with thyroid issues has shown me how easily medications and hormones can trigger hair fall. Clobetasol propionate is actually prescribed to treat scalp conditions like psoriasis that cause hair loss, so it usually helps hair grow back. However, you must get regular checkups with your dermatologist to monitor your scalp health properly.

My doctor gave me clobetasol lotion for my itchy scalp, but I am very scared of losing my hair. Does it actually cause hair thinning if I use it for more than a week? If anyone has used this on their scalp, please share your experience.

I tried onion juice and methi packs for my itchy scalp, but only clobetasol lotion finally cured the severe redness. It didn't cause any hair fall for me; in fact, the hair fall stopped once my scalp itchiness went away. Just apply it gently with your fingertips only on the affected areas.

I completely understand the anxiety of seeing hair in the drain and worrying if your scalp medicine is making it worse. I was terrified of using clobetasol too, but my doctor reassured me that the inflammation from the scalp allergy causes the hair loss, not the cream. Using it actually helped my scalp heal.

I totally get it, scalp issues are so frustrating and the fear of losing hair makes it twice as stressful. Clobetasol is meant to reduce scalp swelling so your hair follicles can actually breathe and grow healthier. Just trust your doctor and try to stay calm.

With my busy schedule, I didn't want a long scalp treatment, but clobetasol cleared my scalp flaking very quickly. It doesn't cause hair loss when used strictly for the 10 days my doctor recommended. Just don't self-medicate or use it continuously, and you will be fine.

Bro, don't worry, clobetasol scalp lotion won't make you go bald. I used it for a patch on my head last month and my hair is completely fine. Just use the exact drops your doc told you and don't panic.
