Does claritin cause weight gain?

Been taking Claritin for my seasonal allergies for quite some time now. I've noticed a slight increase in my weight, and I'm wondering if Claritin could be causing this. Does this allergy medicine typically lead to weight gain?

Claritin, which contains Loratadine, is a non-drowsy antihistamine and is generally not associated with significant weight gain. However, some antihistamines can slightly increase appetite in certain individuals. If you notice any unusual changes in your weight, it is best to discuss it with your prescribing doctor.

Everyone's body reacts differently to daily medications. If you have been taking Claritin for allergies and feel you are gaining weight or retaining fluid, please consult your physician to rule out other medical issues. Do not stop your prescribed allergy medication suddenly without checking with them.

In my experience with natural living, regular antihistamines like Claritin can sometimes make the body feel a bit sluggish or heavy. Practicing daily pranayama like Kapalbhati and Jal Neti helps naturally manage nasal allergies so you can reduce dependency on pills. A clean lifestyle is the best way to keep weight in check.

Arey bhai, Claritin khane se koi mota nahi hota. It is just a simple allergy tablet, not some heavy steroid. If you are gaining weight, you should look at your daily diet and lack of exercise instead of blaming a small pill!

I am so sleep-deprived from my late-night work shifts that I eat midnight snacks out of sheer exhaustion! That is definitely what's causing my weight gain, not my daily Claritin tablet. Don't worry, the pill won't make you gain weight unless it makes you sleep-eat like me!

There is no strong link between Claritin and weight gain, so you are good to go. Even if you feel a little sluggish, a simple 30-minute brisk walk daily will easily keep your metabolism active. Just stay consistent with your movement.

No, it doesn't cause weight gain! I have been taking it during change of season for years and my weight has stayed exactly the same. You can take it peacefully without worrying about your waistline.

With my hectic corporate job, I take Claritin so my allergies don't ruin my presentation days. It doesn't cause any weight gain in my experience. If you are concerned, just keep an eye on your calorie intake during busy weeks when physical activity is low.

Managing high BP has taught me to keep a close eye on all medication labels. Claritin is usually safe and doesn't cause weight gain or affect blood pressure like some other allergy medicines do. Still, keeping track of your salt intake and regular health checkups is the best way to maintain weight.

Haan na, even I was thinking the same when I had to take it for my pollen allergy. But honestly, it didn't cause any weight gain for me. Maybe it just makes us feel a little bit bloated occasionally, but that goes away soon, so don't worry.

Beta, these modern English medicines often have small side effects on our digestion and body weight. If you suffer from frequent sneezing, try having warm water with black pepper and ginger in the morning. It keeps the chest clear naturally so you do not have to swallow these pills daily.

It definitely won't make you gain fat. Weight gain is all about eating in a calorie surplus. Just keep lifting, maintain your protein intake, and take your allergy pill if you need it to breathe properly during your workouts.
