Does chronic inflammation cause weight gain?

I've been dealing with some unexplained chronic inflammation recently, and I've also noticed I'm steadily gaining weight. I'm wondering if these two issues could be connected somehow. Can chronic inflammation actually contribute to weight gain?

Yeah, actually it does. When the body is constantly stressed and inflamed, it holds onto fat, especially around the belly. I read about this recently because I was struggling to lose weight despite eating normal food.

Between my night shifts and barely getting four hours of sleep, my body is probably a giant ball of chronic inflammation right now. No wonder my weight keeps creeping up even when I barely have time to eat! Sleep deprivation and stress are definitely the real culprits here.

Yes, chronic inflammation absolutely disrupts your metabolism and leads to weight gain. Eating more antioxidant-rich foods really helped me bring those levels down.

I struggled with high inflammatory markers and stubborn weight for years. The key is to cut out processed foods, refined sugar, and trans fats completely, as they fuel the fire. Focus on anti-inflammatory foods like turmeric, ginger, and green tea, and you will see the weight start to drop.

With my high blood pressure, my doctor explained that chronic inflammation is a silent enemy that affects our blood vessels and causes weight retention. Getting regular health checkups and blood tests to track your CRP levels is crucial. Focus on a low-sodium, clean diet to manage both.
