Does chair yoga really work for weight loss?

My joints are not what they used to be, and I find it hard to do traditional yoga or gym workouts. I heard about chair yoga as a gentler option. Does chair yoga really work for weight loss, or is it mainly for flexibility?

Chair yoga is a beautiful way to restore flexibility and mindfulness in the body. While it may not burn calories rapidly like heavy workouts, it improves your digestion and reduces stress, which are crucial for preventing hormonal weight gain.

At 50, stretching on the floor is easy, but getting back up is the real exercise! Chair yoga is perfect for my lazy joints. It won't turn you into a model overnight, but it keeps the body active without any muscle pulls.

I logged a chair yoga session on my Apple Watch and was surprised that my active calories burnt were quite decent! It's great for active recovery days and helps build core strength, which eventually helps in burning more fat.

Don't push yourself into hard workouts if your body isn't ready. Chair yoga is a very safe and steady way to start. Take it slow, listen to your body, and the weight loss will follow naturally as you become more active.

When I was recovering from a knee ligament tear, chair yoga was my only option. It kept my metabolism active and stopped me from gaining weight during recovery. Focus on deep breathing and stretching your limits slowly every day.

Chair yoga is very helpful for gently waking up your body and joints. It creates a calm mind, which naturally helps you make healthier food choices. Just be consistent and enjoy the process.

Hey, if doing yoga on a chair melts fat, I would be thin just from sitting in my office chair all day! It's a good way to stretch, but you still have to put down that samosa if you really want to see the scale go down.

My grandmother always said that yoga should be gentle on the spine, and my doctor also approved chair yoga for my lower back. It helps with flexibility and keeps the body active, which is a great support for your weight loss journey.
