Does cephalexin cause weight gain?

I'm currently taking Cephalexin for a skin infection, and I've been feeling a bit bloated and heavier. I'm worried it might be a side effect. Does Cephalexin cause weight gain?

Do not worry, dear soul. Cephalexin is just a short-term antibiotic to heal your body's infection and it does not cause any permanent weight gain. Keep your mind calm, drink warm water, and focus on your recovery. Your health will restore beautifully.

At my age, even breathing seems to cause weight gain! But honestly, Cephalexin is just an antibiotic. Any slight weight change you feel is probably just water retention or sitting around while you are sick. Once the course is over, you'll be back to normal.

I am on my third day of Cephalexin and I feel so bloated and heavy today. Is this actually water weight, or has anyone else experienced actual weight gain while taking this antibiotic? I am really worried about finishing my 7-day course now.

Listen, Cephalexin is an antibiotic to kill bacteria, not a hormone pill. It doesn't cause weight gain. If you are feeling bloated, it is because antibiotics can upset your stomach flora. Just eat some dahi or take a probiotic and complete your doctor's dose.

Honestly, I was so busy running to the washroom due to the antibiotic stomach upset that I actually lost weight! Cephalexin doesn't cause weight gain, but it can definitely make your tummy rumble. Just sleep it off and finish the medicine.
