Does cancer make your hair fall out?

My auntie has been losing a lot of hair lately, and she hasn't even started any major treatments yet. We know chemo causes hair loss, but does the cancer itself, before any treatment, also lead to hair thinning and falling out?

From what I have learned during my own health journey, the cancer itself doesn't cause hair loss. It is actually the chemotherapy and radiation treatments that cause it. Focus on managing your overall health, keeping stress low, and getting regular medical checkups.

I used to panic every time I saw hair in my comb, thinking it was a sign of a major illness. But then I found out that normal hair fall is just due to stress, pollution, or vitamin deficiencies. The hair loss people talk about in cancer is strictly from chemo, not the disease itself, so don't worry!

Honestly, my hair falls out just looking at my diet chart sometimes! But seriously, cancer doesn't directly cause hair loss; it is the chemotherapy drugs that target fast-growing cells. So unless someone is on chemo, their hair should be totally fine.

Unless your hair is planning a solo vacation, standard illnesses don't make it fall out! It is only the strong chemo medicines that cause hair loss, and those are temporary anyway. So you can stop inspecting your hairbrush in panic!

Hey there! Don't worry, the cancer itself doesn't make your hair fall out. That only happens if someone is undergoing chemotherapy treatments, and even then, it grows back beautifully afterwards! Keep smiling and stay positive! 🌟
