Does buspirone cause liver damage?

My doctor prescribed Buspirone, and I'm just doing my routine check on potential side effects. I have a history of some liver issues, so I'm always extra careful. Is it possible for Buspirone to cause liver damage, or is that a rare occurrence?

Buspirone is generally very safe for the liver if taken in the prescribed limits. To be on the safer side, just avoid drinking any alcohol while you are on this medication and drink plenty of water throughout the day. It keeps the system clean.

I was super scared about this too before starting buspirone. But my doc told me that unless someone already has liver disease, it is very rare to have issues. Just don't take double doses by mistake and you will be fine.

Our internal organs have a great capacity to process medicines if we keep them healthy. Practicing Kapalbhati pranayama helps keep liver function good, but please continue to follow your doctor's exact instructions regarding this medication.

Unless you have a pre-existing severe liver condition, buspirone doesn't cause any harm. I took it for my anxiety while continuing my gym routine and eating clean. Just maintain a healthy lifestyle and your liver will handle everything easily.

I already had some elevated liver enzymes when my doctor prescribed this, so we had to monitor my liver function tests (LFT) closely every few months. If you already have any liver history, please do not start this without telling your doctor.

Normally this medicine is metabolized by the liver, but it doesn't cause damage on its own. It is always wise to avoid heavy, oily foods that stress your liver further when you are on any long-term prescription. Stick to simple, home-cooked food.
