Does brushing teeth help tooth pain?

I have a mild toothache since yesterday and it's quite irritating, particularly after eating something cold. My mom says sometimes brushing properly helps if it's just some food stuck or a minor irritation. Could brushing really alleviate the pain, or should I just consider seeing a dentist?

Chupchaap dentist ke paas jaiye aur checkup karwaiye, varna dard badhta hi rahega.

If the pain is due to sweet or acidic foods stuck between your teeth, very gentle brushing can help clean it out. However, if there is swelling or severe ache, brushing might irritate the gums further. Avoid sweet foods completely right now and get a dentist to inspect it.

In our home, elders suggest pressing a clove near the aching tooth for temporary comfort. But as my dentist always says, brushing cannot heal an infected nerve or a cavity. It is best to book an appointment soon rather than delaying.

Don't trust internet tips saying brushing or mouthwashes will cure tooth pain. Toothache is usually a sign of internal decay or nerve issues, and only a professional dentist can fix it with proper treatment. Go get a physical consultation instead of experimenting.
