Does boost help with weight gain?

I'm quite underweight and struggling to gain some healthy weight, especially muscle mass. My dietician suggested trying nutritional supplements like Boost. Does Boost really help with weight gain, and how effective is it?

I was super skinny during my college days and tried Boost thinking it would make me bulk up. Honestly, it only works if you mix it with full-fat milk and eat a calorie-surplus diet. Just drinking Boost alone won't make you gain weight.

I was actually looking up the nutrition label of Boost yesterday. It has a lot of malted barley and sugar, which can add extra calories to your daily intake. It might help kids gain some weight, but adults might need more protein-rich options.

Boost is a decent nutritional supplement, but it is also quite high in sugar. If you want healthy weight gain as a vegetarian, try adding bananas, nuts, paneer, and whole grains to your daily diet instead of relying on commercial powders.

If you are struggling with sudden or unexplained weight loss, please consult a physician before starting any health drinks. It is important to rule out thyroid issues, diabetes, or other underlying health conditions first.

I used to panic because I was underweight and drank Boost three times a day, which just gave me a stomach ache. Once I started eating regular balanced meals with more roti and ghee, my weight became normal. Don't stress too much about these powders.
