Does blow drying hair help with dandruff?

I've been dealing with dandruff for a while now, and it's quite annoying. Someone suggested that blow drying my hair might help dry out the scalp and reduce dandruff. Is this true?

Haan na, I also used to think wet hair causes dandruff so blow drying will help. But actually keeping scalp too dry or too hot makes it worse, ho na. Better to dry naturally or use cool air setting on your dryer.

I am also facing this dandruff issue lately and was thinking of buying a hair dryer. Does the heat from the blow dryer kill the fungus or does it just dry up the scalp more? If anyone knows please share, I am a bit confused.

Blow drying just temporarily dries out the moisture but it doesn't cure the underlying fungal infection that causes dandruff. In fact, excessive heat can irritate your scalp further. Honestly, consulting a dermatologist for a proper medicated shampoo is the best way to deal with this.

Don't worry too much, dandruff is very common and happens to almost everyone. Just avoid direct high heat on your scalp when drying. Keep your hair clean and wash it regularly with a mild shampoo, it will get better slowly.

Yes, I agree that blow drying doesn't really cure it. Using a comb with neem wood has helped me control the itchiness a lot.
