Does blow drying cause hair loss?

My hair has been thinning a bit lately, and I use a blow dryer almost every day. Could daily blow drying actually contribute to hair loss? I'm trying to figure out what might be causing it.

Honestly, between my work stress and sleep schedule, my hair is leaving me anyway. But yes, frying your hair with high heat definitely speed-runs the breakage process. Keep it cool!

Blow drying doesn't cause real hair loss from the follicles unless you are pulling the roots too hard. It mostly just causes dry hair and breakage. Focus on a high-protein diet and let it air dry naturally.

Blow drying causes hair breakage due to heat damage, not actual hair loss from the root. If you are experiencing thinning, it is likely genetics or stress. Go see a trichologist instead of blaming the dryer.

Yes, excessive heat makes the hair brittle. Along with reducing heat styling, keeping up with active exercise helps improve blood circulation to the scalp, which naturally supports hair health.

No, it doesn't cause alopecia or pattern baldness, only structural damage. If you are noticing severe scalp visibility, please visit a proper hospital and get a scalp analysis done by a dermatologist.
