Oh God, I read so much about this online because I was terrified of gaining weight when my doc suggested hormone therapy. Honestly, even a 500-gram fluctuation makes me stress out so much! From what I gathered, it can cause some water retention initially which feels like weight gain. Don't worry too much, just keep talking to your gynecologist regularly.

My sister was on this and she noticed her cravings for sweet gulab jamuns and spicy chaat went slightly up in the first few weeks. Hormones can definitely play with your appetite! If you can manage those sudden snack cravings with healthier options, the weight usually stays stable. It's all about balancing the food love!

I completely understand the anxiety around this, as I cried looking at the scale when I started hormone therapy. It is so tough when your body goes through changes you can't control. But after about three months, my mood stabilized and the bloating went down. Please be gentle with yourself during this transition phase.

Everyone's body reacts a bit differently to estrogen. Some people feel a little bloated at first, while others don't face any weight changes at all. Try to have plenty of water and give your body some time to adjust. It will be alright, don't worry.

See, any hormone therapy can cause a little bit of bloating or water weight in the beginning. It doesn't mean you are suddenly piling on fat. Just keep doing your basic daily walks, eat home food, and don't panic. If the weight keeps rising continuously, then go back to your doctor and get the dosage adjusted.

Listen, don't let those scary internet articles stress you out. Bioidentical hormones are meant to bring balance back, not ruin your health. Yes, there might be a minor change in how your body holds water initially, but it settles down. Just focus on your health, sleep well, and trust the treatment your doctor has planned for you.
