Does bimzelx cause weight gain?

My dermatologist wants to put me on Bimzelx for my psoriasis. I'm already struggling with my weight. Will taking Bimzelx cause me to gain more weight?

In my experience reading about biological treatments, Bimzelx does not directly cause metabolic weight gain. However, when your skin or joints start feeling better, your appetite might improve, leading to some weight changes. Keep a gentle eye on your portion sizes.

Generally, Bimzelx clinical trials didn't show weight gain as a common side effect. It is a targeted biologic, so it doesn't cause the hormonal changes that steroids do. If you notice rapid weight gain, it might be due to water retention, so check with your clinic.

Bro, I have been using Bimzelx for my skin and haven't gained a single kilo. My weight is exactly the same as before. Just don't use it as an excuse to eat junk food and you will be completely fine.

I am about to start my first dose of Bimzelx and I am really worried about bloating or putting on weight. Has anyone here actually gained weight after starting this injection? Please share your experience.

Well, unless Bimzelx makes you magically crave midnight biryanis, it won't cause weight gain! It's not a steroid, so your waistline is safe. Just blame the sweets, not the injection!

I totally get it, worrying about weight gain when starting a new medicine is so frustrating. But from what I know, Bimzelx doesn't usually cause this issue. Stay hopeful and speak to your doctor if you feel any uncomfortable changes.

Don't let the fear of weight gain stop you from taking your prescribed treatment. Even if there is any minor fluid retention, you can easily counter it with a 30-minute daily walk and some basic core exercises. Keep moving!
