Does b12 help with hair loss?

I've been dealing with increasing hair loss lately, and it's quite concerning. I was told that sometimes B12 deficiency can be a cause. Can taking B12 supplements help with hair loss?

My hair has been falling out in clumps lately and I'm so stressed about it. My mom suggested taking B12, but does it actually stop the shedding? Has anyone here tried it and seen a real difference in a few weeks?

I went through severe hair thinning last year due to a B12 and Vitamin D deficiency. Let me tell you, just taking supplements won't show results overnight. It takes at least 3 to 6 months of consistent dosage, along with a high-protein diet, to actually see new hair growth.

It can be really upsetting to see your hair fall out. B12 can definitely help if your body is running low on it, as it helps carry oxygen to your hair roots. Try to stay stress-free and take care of yourself.

I was just reading some articles on this because my roommate is facing hair fall. Apparently, B12 plays a big role in cell division, which is super important for hair follicles. If your B12 is normal though, adding more might not help much.

I track all my vitamin levels on my fitness app, and correcting my B12 definitely improved my overall scalp health. Your hair needs proper nutrition to grow. Make sure you are also hitting your daily protein targets along with taking the vitamins.

Don't just start popping B12 pills because someone on Instagram said it stops hair loss. Hair fall can be due to thyroid issues, genetics, or iron deficiency. Get a proper blood test done first and let a dermatologist diagnose the exact cause.
