Does armor thyroid cause hair loss?

I recently started taking Armor Thyroid for my thyroid condition. I've noticed some hair thinning lately and I'm quite worried about it. Could Armor Thyroid be causing this hair loss?

I switched to Armour Thyroid six months ago and had terrible hair shedding initially. But my doctor assured me it was just my body adjusting to the hormone levels, and now my hair is actually growing back healthier than before. Just give it some time.

Hormones change hote hain toh hair fall toh hota hi hai, haan na. My sister also faced this when she shifted her thyroid brand. But don't worry, once the dose is set, everything becomes normal again. Just trust your doctor.

Thyroid imbalances affect the entire body's energy flow, leading to hair fall. Along with your Armour Thyroid, practicing daily Sarvangasana and Kapalbhati can help regulate the thyroid gland naturally. Always keep a calm mind and do your regular checkups.

Hair loss can be a symptom of both hypothyroidism and the initiation of thyroid hormone replacement therapy like Armour Thyroid. It is critical to monitor your free T3, free T4, and TSH levels closely. Please consult your endocrinologist to ensure your dosage is correct.

Thyroid issues are so annoying, they mess with your hair and your weight! While my doctor was adjusting my thyroid meds, I made sure to eat plenty of protein-rich foods and curry leaves to support my hair. At least it gave me an excuse to eat more boiled eggs!

I have been on Armour Thyroid for years. When you first start or change doses, temporary hair shedding is very common, but it stops within 2-3 months. My tip is to check your iron and ferritin levels, as low iron makes thyroid hair loss much worse.

I was reading about thyroid medications because my mom is on them. It seems any shift in thyroid hormone levels—even getting on a better medication like Armour—can trigger temporary hair shedding. It usually stabilizes once the TSH levels normalize.
