Does anesthesia make your hair fall out?

About two months ago, I had an operation, and ever since, my hair has been falling out more than usual. I'm wondering if the anesthesia from the surgery could be making my hair fall out like this.

Haan beta, when my daughter had her operation, she also lost a lot of hair after a few weeks. The doctor said the body gets weak after surgery. Do not worry, eat good food and it will grow back nicely.

Many times people say it is because of the operation stress, but you should not assume. It is always safer to consult your doctor and get some basic blood work done to rule out any other hidden medical issues.

I noticed some hair thinning after my hernia surgery, probably due to the stress on the body. I had to keep my BP in check and focus on mild walking to recover. Make sure you get your routine health checkups done post-surgery.

Don't go running to expensive trichologists and buying costly serums right away. A simple CBC and iron test at a local lab will cost you very little and tell you if you actually need basic supplements for the hair fall.

It is actually quite common to experience this after a surgery. Try to rest well and eat a nutritious diet, your body just needs some time to recover and heal.
