Does alcohol ruin your liver?

My brother recently got diagnosed with a serious liver condition, and the doctors linked it to his alcohol consumption. I'm really worried about my own habits and if I'm unknowingly ruining my liver too.

Ho na, it slowly damages the liver tissues without us even realizing. People think normal drinking is fine, but over the years it builds up fat in the liver. It is always better to keep a check on LFT tests regularly.

At 54, my liver literally sends me a complaint letter if I have even one extra drink. Yes, it absolutely ruins the liver if you treat your body like a garbage bin. Moderation is okay when you are young, but eventually, you have to choose between your drink and your health.

I've been reading so much about liver cirrhosis lately and now I'm super anxious about my occasional wine nights. Does even a little bit of alcohol start causing damage? Has anyone else felt this fear and got tested?

I ignored my fatigue and mild digestion issues for years while continuing my weekend drinking habit. It turned out to be early stage fatty liver, and I really regret not taking it seriously sooner. Please get your liver enzymes tested before any permanent damage happens.

It is true that regular or heavy alcohol use causes strain and damage to the liver. But please don't panic, as the liver also has an amazing ability to heal itself if you reduce or stop drinking. Just take care of your diet and consult a doctor.

Yes, heavy alcohol is definitely not a friend to your liver! 🍷 It can cause fatty liver and inflammation. Swapping some drinks with healthy green juices and plenty of water will keep your liver super happy and glowing! ✨
