Does alcohol cause liver failure?

A relative of mine recently suffered from liver failure, and they were a very heavy drinker. It's really made me think. Can excessive alcohol consumption truly lead to liver failure?

Let's be real here: heavy, long-term alcohol consumption is one of the quickest routes to liver cirrhosis and eventual liver failure. It's not a joke or something you can fix with detox juices. If you drink heavily, get an LFT test done regularly to monitor your liver health.

In our olden days, we always believed that keeping the body clean of toxins is the secret to long life. To support your liver, you can have lukewarm water with lemon in the morning, but remember, if someone has advanced liver damage from alcohol, only proper medical treatment can save them.

Yes, chronic alcohol abuse slowly replaces healthy liver tissue with scar tissue, leading to failure. I have seen many families suffer because of this habit. The best practical step is to seek counseling or medical help to quit drinking before the damage becomes irreversible.

I completely agree that alcohol is highly toxic for the liver. Please get a liver function test (LFT) done if you drink frequently, just to be safe.

My friends talk about 'detoxing' on Monday after partying like rockstars on Saturday, but our poor livers don't work on weekly contracts! Joke aside, constant heavy drinking will eventually make the liver quit its job. Give that hard-working organ a permanent break.

Eating fresh amla and drinking beetroot juice can help detoxify a mildly fatty liver, but for severe alcohol-induced damage, home tips won't work. If you notice yellow eyes, dark urine, or stomach swelling, go straight to a hepatologist without wasting any time.

Actually, regular heavy drinking literally destroys liver cells, yaar. It starts with fatty liver, then goes to hepatitis, and finally liver failure if you don't stop. Better to check your lifestyle now before it gets too late.

I love eating rich food, but I had to cut down on cocktails because alcohol and fatty foods together are a disaster for the liver. It can lead to fatty liver disease which slowly progresses to worse things. Swap the alcohol for some fresh fruit coolers instead!
