Does alcohol cause kidney stones?

My father recently had a kidney stone removed, and he's a social drinker. He's now trying to figure out what caused it. Does alcohol directly cause kidney stones to form?

Dekho bhai, clear baat hai. Alcohol causes severe dehydration, and when there is less water in your body, uric acid and calcium form stones quickly. Stop believing people who say beer removes kidney stones; that's a dangerous myth. Drink 4 liters of plain water daily and cut down the drinks.

I barely sleep and drink beer thinking it flushes out stones, but my doctor friend laughed and told me the dehydration actually makes them form faster! It is ironic how we drink alcohol to relax but end up waking up at 3 AM with stabbing back pain. Water is the only real hero here.

I know how painful kidney stones can be because my husband suffered from them twice. Along with avoiding alcohol which dries up the body, try drinking barley water (jau ka pani) or fresh coconut water daily. These simple remedies work wonders to flush out small deposits naturally.

I used to drink alcohol almost every weekend with my friends and ended up with a 5mm kidney stone last month. The pain was absolute hell, guys. Now I have completely stopped alcohol, drinking lots of water instead, and the pain hasn't come back.

Humare yahan sab kehte hain ki sharab se sharir ka pani sukh jata hai, aur wahi pathri banta hai. Aap dhyan rakhein, subah uthkar khub sara pani peeyein aur sharab se door rahein. Apna khyal rakhiye, tandurusti hi sabse bada dhan hai.

Alcohol is high in purines, which can lead to uric acid stones, and its diuretic effect dehydrates your kidneys rapidly. If you already have a history of stones, alcohol is highly risky for you. Make sure you get an ultrasound if you feel a sharp pain in your flank area.
