Does alcohol aggravate piles?

I have internal piles, and I've noticed that whenever I drink, the discomfort seems to increase. Is there a connection? Does alcohol really aggravate piles, making them more painful or inflamed?

I totally get it, piles pain is so uncomfortable and embarrassing to talk about, but you are not alone. Yes, alcohol dehydrates your system, which makes constipation worse and flares up the piles. Please take care and skip the drinks.

I was looking up digestive issues and read that alcohol leads to dehydration, which causes hard stools. This puts extra pressure on the veins in the rectal area, worsening piles. It makes complete sense scientifically.

Don't worry, child, this is a very common issue but easily managed. In my experience, alcohol and spicy food are the two main culprits that trigger piles pain. Avoid them, eat simple home-cooked food, and drink lots of buttermilk.

Haan na, piles ka pain toh waise hi bahut bura hota hai, upar se alcohol peene se acidity aur kabz badh jata hai. It is better to avoid it completely during flare-ups. Thoda parhez rakhna hi padta hai.

I recently recovered from a very painful piles phase, and my doctor made me stop alcohol completely. The dehydration from alcohol makes bowel movements extremely difficult, which delays the healing of the tissues. Stopping drinks gave me instant relief.

My son had severe constipation and swelling issues last year, so I know how stressful this is. Please keep the family members away from alcohol as it dehydrates the bowel and increases straining. Give them plenty of fresh fruits and water instead.
