Do you always lose weight with cancer?

My uncle was recently diagnosed with cancer, but he hasn't lost any weight. I always thought one of the main signs of cancer was significant weight loss. Is it true that you always lose weight with cancer?

No, weight loss is not a guaranteed symptom for every type or stage of cancer. However, if you or someone you know is experiencing unexplained weight changes or any other persistent health shifts, it is absolutely vital to consult a specialist doctor immediately for proper safety and screening.

Actually, my aunt went through cancer treatment and her weight stayed completely stable throughout the initial stages, and some treatments even caused a bit of bloating. It really depends on the individual body and the specific condition. Please don't rely on weight loss as the only sign; keeping up with regular doctor checks is so important.

Weight loss, specifically cancer cachexia, is common in advanced stages or with specific digestive tract cancers, but many early-stage cancers show no such symptoms at all. For any medical concerns or diagnostic queries, consulting an oncologist or general physician is the only reliable way to get accurate answers.

Hamare experience mein, zaruri nahi ki vajan kam hi ho, yeh bimari ke kism par nirbhar karta hai. Sabse zaroori hai ki saal mein ek baar basic body checkup aur blood tests kisi acche local lab se kara lein takqi sab theek rahe. Koi bhi naya badlav dikhe toh seedha doctor babu ke paas jana chahiye.

At this point in my life, I realize medical stuff is never simple or one-size-fits-all. Some people lose weight, some don't notice any change at all, and bodies are just unpredictable. Best is to stop guessing based on weight scales and just let a qualified doctor do the proper diagnostic tests.
