Do yeast infections affect pregnancy?

I think I might have a yeast infection, and I'm also in my first trimester of pregnancy. Can a yeast infection cause any complications or problems during pregnancy?

I read so much about this during my pregnancy and got so scared! Yeast infections are actually super common due to hormonal changes, and they don't harm the baby directly. But please get it treated quickly because the itching can make you extremely miserable and anxious.

If you suspect an infection, a basic vaginal swab test at a local lab will cost you around 300-500 rupees. It is much better to spend this small amount and get a clear report rather than buying random creams online that might not work and end up costing you more.

Yes, yeast infections are highly common when you are pregnant because of estrogen spikes. They don't affect the baby's development, but you should never self-medicate with over-the-counter creams. Just talk to your OB-GYN and get a safe, pregnancy-friendly prescription.

My wife faced this during her second trimester. Yeast infections don't pose any risk to the pregnancy, but they do require proper medical attention. Instead of delaying, schedule a quick teleconsultation with your gynecologist to get the right anti-fungal treatment prescribed.

I totally get it, dealing with that constant itching and discomfort during pregnancy is the absolute worst. The good news is that it doesn't harm your little one at all. Just make sure to wear loose cotton underwear and keep the area dry to feel a bit more comfortable.

As if third-trimester insomnia wasn't enough, dealing with a yeast infection is just a cruel joke! It won't hurt the baby, thank god, but it will definitely ruin whatever little sleep you were getting. Go get the safe cream from your doctor ASAP!

I just recovered from a nasty yeast infection last week in my fifth month. My doctor gave me a safe vaginal tablet that cleared it up in three days. Don't worry, it doesn't affect the baby at all, but do consult your doctor for the right cure.

If you are pregnant and getting frequent yeast infections, please make sure to check your blood sugar levels. High sugar in the body feeds the yeast. Focus on cutting down white rice and refined sugars, and get your fasting sugar checked to be safe.

According to the pregnancy trackers we used, yeast infections are standard due to shifts in vaginal pH levels. They are harmless to the fetus, but keeping track of your symptoms can help your doctor. Eat unsweetened yogurt daily as a natural way to support healthy gut and vaginal flora.
