Do x rays show arthritis?

My knees have been aching a lot lately, and I'm worried it might be arthritis. If I go for an X-ray, will it be able to clearly show if I have arthritis?

Please don't delay this like I did. I ignored my knee pain for months thinking it was just weakness, and by the time I got an X-ray, the arthritis had progressed significantly. Go get the X-ray done immediately if your doctor has recommended it.

Haan, X-ray mein clear dikh jata hai agar joint space kam ho gayi ho ya bone damage ho. Lekin early stage mein kabhi kabhi clear nahi hota, toh doctor scan ya blood test bhi likhte hain na. Dr. se consult kar lo ek baar.

An X-ray is generally the primary diagnostic tool used to detect cartilage loss and bone spurs associated with osteoarthritis. However, for soft tissue details or early-stage rheumatoid arthritis, an MRI or blood tests might be required. Your rheumatologist will guide you best on this.

My doctor just advised me to get an X-ray for my finger joints because they feel very stiff in the morning. Did anyone else have normal X-ray reports but still had joint pain? I am a bit worried about what the results might show.

Haan na, X-ray se joint ka condition pata chal jata hai easily. My mother also got her knee X-ray done and the doctor showed us how the cartilage had worn out. It helps the doctor plan the correct treatment, so don't worry.

Yes, dear, an X-ray is the most common way doctors check for joint wear and tear. It easily shows if the gap between your bones has reduced. Just get it done at any standard lab; it is a very quick and painless process.

Yes, X-rays show bone changes, but if you have diabetes, joint pain can also be linked to high blood sugar levels causing inflammation. Make sure you get your HbA1c checked along with the joint tests to manage your overall health properly.
