Do weight loss teas work?

My aunt has been drinking some special 'weight loss tea' and insists it's helping her. I'm a bit doubtful, but I'm curious. Do weight loss teas actually work, or is it more of a placebo effect?

The only thing these weight loss teas did was make me run to the washroom all night when I was already struggling to sleep! They are basically herbal laxatives. If you enjoy midnight bathroom visits, go for it.

I tracked my weight and hydration levels while drinking these detox teas for two weeks. They only make you lose temporary water weight because they act as mild diuretics, but the fat percentage remains exactly the same on my smart scale. It is better to stick to normal green tea.

These slimming teas are sold at ridiculous prices online. Instead of spending 1500 rupees on a tea tin, you can buy fresh ginger, lemon, and mint from the local market for 100 rupees and make your own healthy tea at home. Spend the rest on a basic health checkup.

I tried a popular detox tea last week and started getting severe stomach cramps and diarrhea. Has anyone else faced this after drinking these weight loss teas? I am quite worried and have stopped drinking it completely.

Be careful, some of these weight loss teas have high caffeine or stimulants that can spike your blood pressure. For someone like me who manages high BP, lifestyle changes and doctor-approved diets are far safer than these herbal shortcuts.

Haan yaar, these teas don't work like magic na. My neighbor drank them for months but didn't lose any weight because her diet was same. Actually, normal home food control is the only real way.
