Do vitamins cause weight gain?

My doctor recommended I take some general vitamins, but I'm trying to maintain my weight. I'm a bit worried, do vitamins cause weight gain or affect metabolism in any way?

My doctor clarified that vitamins contain zero calories, so they cannot cause fat accumulation. However, correcting deficiencies (like Vitamin D or B12) can improve your overall metabolism and appetite, which might lead to slight weight changes if diet isn't monitored.

Actually yaar, vitamins se weight nahi badhta. Ulti deficiency door hoti hai toh energy levels up hote hain. Weight gain toh extra cheese aur sweet khane se hota hai!

If you are gaining weight suddenly, don't blame the multi-vitamins. I faced the same issue and later found out it was due to my fluctuating thyroid levels. Please get your TSH levels checked by a doctor.

I wish I could blame my belly on my daily vitamin pill! But sadly, it's just my lack of exercise and love for parathas. Vitamins are harmless, my friend.

I was super worried about this too when my doc put me on multivitamin supplements, so I spent hours researching. Turns out they don't cause weight gain at all, but they do make you feel less fatigued, which is actually a good thing.
