Do pregnancy tests give false positives?

My period is delayed, and I took a home pregnancy test which showed a faint positive line. My friend said sometimes these tests can show false positives. Can they really give a wrong positive result?

False positives are quite rare, but they can happen due to various reasons or sometimes just a faulty kit. Stay calm, keep a positive spirit, and trust that everything will unfold beautifully. It is best to visit a doctor to get a clear answer.

Yes, a false positive can happen, sometimes due to an early chemical pregnancy or certain medications. Because of my own difficult journey, I always tell people not to rely solely on home kits. Please get a beta-HCG blood test done at a lab to be 100% sure.

They are super rare but yes, it can happen, especially if you read the test after the time limit! ⏱️ Just buy another brand and test again tomorrow morning to be sure! ✨

While they are rare, certain fertility treatments or hormonal issues can sometimes cause a false reading. Since I have thyroid issues and had to monitor my hormones closely, my doctor advised always confirming with a blood test. It is the safest way to know for sure.

They are very uncommon, but yes, false positives can occur if the test is read after the recommended window or due to certain medications.
