Do kidney stones cause uti symptoms?

I'm experiencing symptoms like frequent urination and a burning sensation, which usually mean a UTI. But I also have flank pain, and my doctor mentioned kidney stones. Can kidney stones cause UTI symptoms, making it hard to distinguish the two?

I am experiencing a really bad burning feeling when I pass urine, and my lower back hurts too. Could this really be because of a kidney stone? I am a bit scared to go to the doctor alone, what should I do?

Yes, beta, they can mimic or even cause UTI symptoms like burning and frequent urination because the stone irritates the urinary tract. You can drink some diluted buttermilk or barley water to reduce the heat, but a proper doctor's advice is necessary for actual recovery.

Bro, I literally thought I had a bad UTI because of the intense burning sensation. Turned out it was a 5mm stone scraping my urinary tract. Don't ignore it, just get an ultrasound and a urine test done to know exactly what is going on.

Oh, absolutely! The burning and that constant urge to pee can totally feel like a UTI when you have a kidney stone. Don't stress too much, once the doctor gives you the right meds to help clear things, you will feel so much better. Just keep your water bottle close!

They definitely cause those symptoms, and if you are managing diabetes like me, you have to be extra careful because infections can escalate quickly. Please keep a close watch on your sugar levels and do not skip seeing a doctor. Avoid drinking sugary juices to flush it, stick to plain water.

Yeah, it feels exactly like a UTI. I had to miss my college lectures last semester because of the constant burning and back ache. Just get it checked by a doc so you can get the right pills and get over it quickly.

Actually, yes! Kidney stones can totally mimic UTI symptoms, yaar. I had that constant feeling of wanting to pee but nothing would come out, which was so annoying. Definitely check with a doctor to get the right treatment.

Yes, they do. I had the exact same burning and urge, so getting a urine test and doctor's checkup is the best way to handle it.
