Do husbands get pregnancy symptoms?

My husband has been getting really tired and feeling nauseous recently, and I'm pregnant. My mom joked that he's having 'sympathy symptoms'. Do husbands actually get pregnancy symptoms like morning sickness?

Actually, this is medically known as Couvade Syndrome or sympathetic pregnancy. Our doctor explained that husbands can experience nausea, weight gain, or mood swings due to extreme empathy and stress during their partner's pregnancy. It is quite real and hormonal.

When my wife was pregnant, I actually started eating more sweets out of stress and gained weight, which messed up my blood sugar levels. Be careful about stress eating during this time; keep healthy snacks like roasted chana around.

Actually yes, yaar! When my wife was expecting, I used to feel super tired and had random mood swings too. I thought I was going crazy, but my friends told me it happens to many guys due to stress.

My husband literally had morning sickness and food cravings alongside me during my first trimester! It was so funny but also very sweet because it showed how connected he felt to the baby. It is totally normal.

I started getting bad stomach cramps when my wife was in her second trimester and I panicked thinking I had some major digestive disease. It turned out to be just psychological stress. If you feel very unwell, just get a basic checkup done to ease your mind.

Bro, don't stress too much about it! It is just sympathetic symptoms because you are constantly thinking about her and the baby. Just try to get enough sleep and enjoy this beautiful phase together.
