Do hot showers cause hair loss?

I always take very hot showers, finding them relaxing after a long day. However, I've also noticed my hair thinning a bit more than usual. Could it be that hot showers cause hair loss?

In our family, our elders always told us to never put very hot water on the head as it ruins the hair texture. While that is good traditional wisdom, I also think it is best to consult a doctor if your hair loss is heavy. They can check if it is a vitamin deficiency instead.

Garam paani directly hair fall nahi karta, but yes, it makes your hair roots weak and dry. The simplest solution is to use lukewarm water for your head, and then do a final rinse with cool water. It keeps the pores tight and saves you money on hair fall serums.

Hair health is closely linked to blood circulation. Taking massive hot showers might dry your scalp, but regular exercise and brisk walking really help pump blood to your hair follicles. If your health permits, try adding 30 minutes of daily cardio to your routine.

Every time I wash my hair with hot water and see strands in the drain, I start panicking about going bald. It is such a stressful feeling, I know. But honestly, most of it is just normal shedding or temporary dryness, so try not to worry yourself too much.

Don't worry, it usually doesn't cause permanent hair loss. Just try switching to cool or lukewarm water for your hair washes. It will slowly get better.

I tried everything from onion juice to expensive hair packs when my hair was falling out from hot baths. Honestly, the only thing that worked was reducing the water temperature and applying mild hibiscus oil once a week. Be gentle on your scalp, it takes time to heal.
