Do hormones cause weight gain?

I've been struggling with unexplained weight gain for a while now, even with regular exercise and a decent diet. Someone suggested it could be related to my hormones. Do hormones really cause weight gain, or is there usually another reason?

Yes, hormones like insulin, thyroid, and cortisol heavily influence how our body stores fat. Getting a basic hormonal blood test done can help clarify things.

I have been eating so clean and exercising daily, but I am still gaining weight around my stomach. It is making me so frustrated and anxious. Has anyone else felt like their body is working against them due to hormones?

Hormonal changes in the body can definitely slow down our digestion and cause heaviness. Drinking warm water with jeera and eating home-cooked, simple meals can help soothe the bloating. But if you are gaining weight very rapidly, please visit a proper doctor for checkups.

From what I see daily in my practice, hormonal shifts like high cortisol, thyroid issues, or PCOS are very common culprits behind unexplained weight gain. Don't beat yourself up thinking it's just lack of willpower. Go get your TSH and HbA1c checked to see what's actually happening.

Honestly, during exam times when I am super stressed and sleeping poorly, I blow up like a balloon. Cortisol is definitely a real thing and it makes managing weight so much harder when your life is hectic.

Between my late-night work shifts and hormonal chaos, my metabolism has basically left the building. Yes, hormones absolutely cause weight gain, and they also make you crave chocolate at 2 AM. It's a tough battle but we are all in it together!

Please don't be too hard on yourself. Hormones can definitely make your weight fluctuate. Take it one day at a time and take care of your peace of mind.

Bhai, jab shareer ke andar ke chemical badal jate hain, toh vajan apne aap badhne lagta hai. Isme aapki galti nahi hoti. Thoda sa dhyan rakho, ghar ka shudh khana khao aur kisi acche sarkari doctor ko dikha lo.

I struggled with sudden weight gain due to thyroid issues for two years. The most important lesson I learned is that you cannot out-exercise a hormonal imbalance. Focus on getting the right clinical treatment first, sleep 8 hours, and the weight will start coming off naturally.

Actually yaar, hormonal weight gain is the most annoying thing ever. You can starve yourself and still not lose an inch if your estrogen or thyroid is out of whack. It is so important to treat the root issue instead of just doing crazy diets.
