Do hemorrhoids go away after pregnancy?

Currently pregnant, I've started noticing some discomfort down there, which my doctor said might be hemorrhoids. I'm a bit worried about them lingering after delivery. Do hemorrhoids typically resolve on their own once pregnancy is over, or is it a long-term problem?

Yes, they usually shrink and go away within a few weeks after delivery once the pelvic pressure is gone. A very simple and cheap solution is to do a warm water sitz bath twice a day to reduce the swelling. Ensure you eat high-fiber foods like oats and local veggies to avoid constipation.

Clinical studies show that pregnancy-induced hemorrhoids usually resolve spontaneously postpartum as pelvic vein pressure decreases. My doctor advised that using ice packs and taking doctor-prescribed stool softeners during the first few weeks after birth can greatly accelerate healing.

They do go away, thankfully, otherwise moms would have one more permanent thing to complain about! Once the baby is out, the pressure drops and things go back to normal. Just don't spend hours sitting on the toilet scrolling your phone, that only makes them stay longer.

Most cases do resolve postpartum, but if they persist past a few weeks, you must get them evaluated by your doctor. If you experience any rectal bleeding or severe pain, do not try to manage it at home; seek immediate medical advice to rule out other complications.

Haan, delivery ke baad pressure kam hote hi yeh apne aap theek ho jate hain. Bas constipation mat hone dena, thoda dahi aur panni zyada piyo. Agar problem bani rahe toh sharmao mat, seedha doctor ko dikhao.

Mine did not go away on their own and became quite painful after delivery, so I had to see a specialist. Please don't suffer in silence thinking it's just a normal postpartum phase. If they are painful or bleeding, get your doctor to check them and prescribe a safe ointment.

Yes beta, they will go away, don't worry at all. Your body went through a lot of pressure during childbirth, but it heals beautifully with time. Just keep your diet simple and healthy, and use a soft cushion to sit on for the first few weeks.
