Do hemorrhoids from pregnancy go away?

Having developed hemorrhoids during my pregnancy, now, a few weeks after delivery, they are still bothering me quite a bit. I'm wondering if hemorrhoids that appear during pregnancy usually go away on their own after childbirth, or if I need to consult a doctor specifically for this?

Yes, they usually do go away or shrink significantly after delivery once the pressure on your pelvic area is gone. In the meantime, try to drink lots of water and eat high-fiber foods to keep your stool soft. It gets much better, so don't worry too much.

While many women find they resolve post-delivery, mine actually got worse and required medical intervention. Please do not ignore it if there is bleeding or severe pain, and consult your OB-GYN immediately. They can prescribe safe creams that bring quick relief.

I was just reading up on postpartum recovery for a family member, and yes, medical articles say they typically clear up on their own after birth. Apparently, sitz baths and avoiding sitting for long periods really help speed up the healing process.

They do get better naturally after the baby is born. Try sitting in a tub of warm water with a little rock salt, it really helps soothe the area. But if you see any bright red blood or feel sharp pain, please consult your doctor immediately.

Bless you, yes, they almost always go away within a few weeks of delivery. Just make sure you do not strain in the bathroom and take your stool softeners if your doctor prescribed them. Keep up your hydration and you will feel normal very soon.

Yes, they generally resolve on their own postpartum as the pressure reduces. Don't suffer silently hoping they disappear instantly though. Talk to your gynecologist directly for a quick prescription cream to manage the discomfort now.

My daughter suffered terribly from this during her pregnancy, but they fully disappeared about a month after her normal delivery. We used to give her plenty of buttermilk and papaya to help her digestion. It is very common and definitely temporary.
