Do expired pregnancy tests still work?

My friend found an old pregnancy test kit while cleaning out her bathroom, and she's wondering if it's still reliable. If the expiry date has passed, will it still give an accurate result or should she just buy a new one?

Since my cycles are always messed up due to PCOS, I have used many tests. I once tried an expired one and it showed a very faint, confusing line. I wouldn't trust them at all; always use a new, unexpired kit for peace of mind.

Actually yaar, they are super unreliable once they cross the expiry date. The chemical strip inside degrades, so you might get a wrong result. Better to just spend a few bucks and buy a fresh one from the medical store.

Just like expired baking powder won't make your cake rise, an expired pregnancy test won't give you a proper reading. Skip the stress, grab a fresh kit from the pharmacy, and maybe some nice samosas on the way back!

I can barely function on 4 hours of sleep, but even I know using expired medical stuff is a bad idea. They might work by luck, but why take the risk of a mini heart attack? Just get a fresh one, seriously.

Honestly, dont trust those old tests lying in your drawer. I tried one last year and it gave a weird blank result. Just go to the nearest chemist, it takes like two minutes and saves so much unnecessary tension.
