Do dht blockers work for hair loss?

My barber mentioned that my hair is thinning because of DHT, and suggested I look into DHT blockers. I'm wondering if these blockers are actually effective for hair loss prevention or regrowth. Has anyone tried them?

Honestly, they do work but you have to be super consistent. I started taking them after my doc suggested it, and it took almost 4 to 6 months to show any real change. Don't expect magic overnight, just stick to the routine.

They can help, but always check if they affect your other health conditions. Since I manage my diabetes carefully with diet, I always make sure any supplement or blocker doesn't mess with my system. Better to consult your specialist once.

I tried them for three months hoping my head would look like my college days again. Thoda farak padha, but honestly, maintaining whatever hair is left feels like a full-time job now. They work, but keep your expectations realistic, boss.

My dermatologist actually explained this to me last month. She said DHT blockers like Finasteride or even natural ones like saw palmetto only work if your hair loss is specifically androgenetic alopecia. If it is due to stress or vitamin deficiencies, these blockers won't do much, so getting a proper scalp test done first is key.

Yes, they are quite effective for genetic hair thinning as they stop the hormone from shrinking your hair follicles. Just be careful about where you buy them and please don't self-medicate. Talk to a doctor to get the right dosage and check for any side effects.
