Do dermatologists treat hair loss?

My hair has been thinning a lot lately, especially from the front. My friends are saying I should see a skin doctor, but I thought they only deal with skin issues. Can a dermatologist actually help with hair loss?

Yes, they absolutely do. Although my mother advises me to apply curry leaves paste, I went to a skin specialist who diagnosed my pattern baldness and started the right clinical treatment.

Yes, hair is legally and medically under dermatology. Please avoid trying random chemicals from the market and get your scalp checked by a professional to be safe.

I didn't know that, I thought they only treated pimples and skin issues. Do they also suggest tests to see if the hair loss is due to some vitamin deficiency?

Yes, indeed. I have consulted dermatologists for my kids' hair thinning issues in the past, and they provide proper scientific treatments like lotions and nutritional supplements that work very well.
