Do collagen tablets cause weight gain?

I started taking collagen tablets for my joints a few months ago. My friend told me that sometimes supplements like these can make you put on weight. I just wanted to confirm if collagen tablets specifically cause weight gain.

No, they don't. My daughter was taking them for her skin issues and she didn't gain any weight. They are just a protein supplement. Just make sure you are feeding them healthy home food and not relying only on tablets.

My mother suggested I drink bone broth for my skin, but my doctor said I could take collagen tablets instead. He assured me they won't cause weight gain as they have negligible calories. I trust his advice and haven't seen any weight change myself.

Nahi beta, isse vajan nahi badhta hai. Ye toh bas shareer ke liye ek tarah ka protein hota hai. Tum bina darr ke le sakti ho, bas apna khana-pina achha rakho aur subah thoda ghoomne jaya karo.

I log my collagen tablets on HealthifyMe every day and they barely add 20 calories to my daily budget. There is zero fat or sugar in pure collagen. It definitely won't cause weight gain unless you're eating in a calorie surplus.

I completely understand why you're worried; I also panic before starting any new tablet thinking it will affect my weight. But collagen is just amino acids and is very safe. It doesn't cause weight gain, so you can breathe easy and try it.

Hey there! As a pharmacist, I can assure you that collagen tablets don't have any fat-building properties. They are just broken-down proteins. Just check the label to ensure there are no added sugars or unnecessary fillers.
