Do bath and body works candles cause cancer?

I love using Bath and Body Works candles to make my home smell nice, especially in the evenings. But recently, I saw some posts on social media claiming they might cause cancer. Is this true, or just a rumour creating panic?

I used to burn these candles daily in my room and then I read some scary articles online and completely panicked! They don't cause cancer, but the fragrance can sometimes trigger headaches if the room isn't well ventilated. Now I only light them with the windows open to be safe.

Since I was diagnosed with PCOS, I have been very careful about synthetic fragrances because they can act as endocrine disruptors. There is no direct link to cancer, but if you have hormonal issues, switching to natural soy or beeswax candles with essential oils might be a safer option.

I researched this heavily when I was recovering from an illness and wanted to clean up my home environment. These candles are made of paraffin wax which is safe when burned occasionally. Just avoid burning them for more than two hours and keep the room ventilated.

There is no proof that these candles cause cancer, so please do not worry. If you love a nice fragrance but want to avoid chemicals, you can simmer some cinnamon and orange peels in water on the stove. It makes the whole house smell amazing naturally.

Humare yahan toh log dhoop aur deepak jalate hain, par sheher mein yeh sugandhit mombatti kaafi chalti hai. Maine suna hai inme chemical hota hai, toh roz band kamre mein nahi jalana chahiye. Thoda khuli hawa aane dein toh koi nuksan nahi hoga.

No, they do not cause cancer when used normally. However, strong artificial scents can sometimes raise stress or blood pressure in sensitive individuals, or cause sinus issues. I prefer keeping my home naturally ventilated and doing regular health checkups.
